Congressional Arts Support Report Card Released

The Arts Action Fund has released grades for each U.S. Senator based on their record of support for the arts over the past two years.  You can see how your Senator fared here at the Senate Report Card (two of New York’s three Senator’s got gold stars!).

Senators were graded based on criteria like voting in support of the arts, joining the Senate Arts Caucus, and more. Senators had three opportunities to vote on the arts during the past two years:

  1. Including the arts in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act,
  2. Supporting public art along our nation’s highways, and
  3. Ensuring museums received federal funds

The twelve Senators who received F grades have been dubbed the Dirty Dozen!
